About Wilson Ford Lincoln Mercury E-mail

In 1921, Carl W. Wilson and Ben Garrison teamed together to form the Central Automobile Corporation, selling new Ford and Studebaker products. The Studebaker line was dropped in 1938 as the partnership became exclusive to Ford automobiles and changed the name to Wilson Sales Company. The showroom fronted Fairmont Avenue in Fairmont, WV between Second and Third Streets, with the service department in the lower section of the building. This location served the company well for thirty three years.

William H. “Bill” Wilson took over the company reigns from his father in 1963. In 1974 he built the present facility in White Hall beside Interstate 79 on Fairmont Avenue Extension, or now known as White Hall Boulevard, and also changed the name to Wilson Ford, Inc. The present location sits on a five-acre tract that provides easy customer access and parking plus ample room for displaying both new and used vehicles. Lincoln-Mercury was added to the franchise in 1983.

Kyle Hamilton purchased the dealership from his father-in-law in 1990 and continues as President and General Manager today. Because of the family ties and long-standing reputation the dealership name of Wilson Ford, Inc. was retained. Wilson Ford Lincoln Mercury continues to be a full-service dealership offering parts, service and body repairs for our large customer base, along with large inventories of new and used vehicles.
